Although the instructions included with this gym clock are a bit lacking, it's fairly intuative to set up. There is a remote control to make life easier, but there are no batteries included, so you will need to provide 2 of the AAA type.
Once you have it all plugged in, setting up the clock is the first thing detailed in the instructions and you can have this in either a 12 or 24 hour format. The numbers on the clock are large and bright, so it's easy to see even when it's wall mounted and there are screws and plugs included to allow you to do that.
As well as the clock, I use the count up and count down timers on a regular basis. Again, setup is mostly detailed in the instructions and the rest is fairly obvious. I didn't want to have the beeps at the end of the countdown and this is simple to turn off. One feature I really like is that the value for the countdown timer is retained in memory when the clock is turned off, or even unplugged.
I also really like the large start/ stop/ pause button, which is so easy to use. It has a very * long lead, so you don't need to be on top of the timer to use it, but a wireless one would be even better! The light on the button is very * bright, so it's easy to keep track of where it is and this light stays on, even when you turn the clock off. There is a switch on the base of the button which will control this though.
I don't really use the stopwtch or interval modes, but when I had a go, just to try, they seemed fairly straightforward to set up.
All in all I like this timer and find it very * useful. I wish * the instructions were a bit clearer and I also think that it's a little on the expensive side for a clock of this size. It has a lot going for it though and it may be worth paying that bit extra, especially if you are going to find the big button handy.
