This process will cause tarnish and black spots to form on the inside of your bottle. Not to worry, this is perfectly normal, and to be expected. This tarnish layer will lower the speed that copper is leeched into the water, the same way as it would in your plumbing! BUT, It can be cleaned away in just a few minutes. It's super easy, straight forward, and is actually really satisfying! You may even look forward to cleaning it.

WARNING – Please Hand Wash Only – NO Hot liquids – For use with plain, still, cold/room temperature water only – Do not use any acidic liquids, substances or additives. For best results, use water with a PH of 7 to 7.5.

WARNING – This vessel is made from solid copper and will discolor and tarnish over time with use. This can easily be cleaned in a few minutes. Please read the cleaning, use and warning instructions before use. Clean your bottle regularly – To restore the inside is 2 TBSP of concentrated lemon juice, 1 TBSP of sea salt, 1 cup of water, shake for 2 minutes, give any stubborn areas a scrub with a dish/bottle brush and flush clean with cold water, ensuring all acidic residue is washed away.
