A warning for rain has been issued for parts of Northern Ireland this weekend as unsettled weather begins to move in.
The Met Office * alert for rain in counties Antrim, Armagh and Down lasts from midnight on Saturday until noon on Sunday.
The change marks an end to the anticyclonic gloom that has brought dull and cloudy weather all this week.
Low pressure will move in from the Atlantic on Saturday bringing windier conditions before rain arrives towards the evening.
The Met Office * is forecasting up to 30mm of rain quite widely in the warning area, with up to 100mm of rain possible over the Mourne Mountains.
The rest of Northern Ireland will also have rain, but eastern areas are expected to bear the brunt.
Warnings have also been issued for several counties in the Republic of Ireland on Saturday.
The alerts for counties Waterford, Cork, and Kerry come into effect later on Saturday, lasting until Sunday morning.
