By finishing its maturation in rum seasoned barrels , Balvenie’s distinctively complex base is suffused with rich notes of mango , coconut , and demerara sugar.
In order to establish a luxuriously smooth body and mellow woody tones , this whisky is first matured in conventional oak casks for a minimum of fourteen years. It is then transferred to barrels that have been seasoned with an expertly curated blend of Caribbean liquor , allowing its classic palate of vanilla and oak to be enriched with the aromatic hues of warm , spiced rum.
